What was the highlight of Pyramisa Island Hotel

So so.

My arrival was anything else than friendly. Bunch of girls in the reception chatted among themselves totally ignoring me. I needed to call their attention finally to serve all of us who we waited. After long time waiting they brought welcome drink. After a while later other stuff in the reception was helpful. Nowadays many people are intolerant for dairy products and they didn’t have any other choices. Food was tastless. Only what was good were pastries. WiFi forget. Either it doesn’t work or is painfully slow. Bed and pillows feels like a stone. As I was getting better room thank to Cristina my stay was nice. As at least my room was renovated and had a nice view. Previous 4 shown other rooms were horrible. In the room I didn’t have any long mirror. Hotel is located on the island what makes it quiet and getting to the mainland takes about 10-15min. However hotel needs a lot of improvement to call itself 5*. When you do day trips organise it outside as the price in the hotel is ridiculous.

Fabulous setting on a private island, with a free ferry service.

Location, location and location! What more could you ask for than a private island? The free ferry ride to the centre was really a treat. Excellent breakfast. Spacious room. Quite good dinner buffet with friendly waiter.

Pyramisa deserves a 10 for their efforts to upgrade the hotel - and in particular the lady sitting at the guest services desk in the lobby - but the initial impressions at check-in weren't overly positive; with unprofessional and impolite service.

Staff members are very kind and helpful. The Nile view from the room was exceptional.

Connected rooms are limited. We have stayed at two separate rooms as one family. Refrigerators are very old.

1. rooms need renovation, patio chairs were not in good condition. 2. we requested for packed breakfast, water bottle was not given, upon asking, we have to shuttle between reception and breakfast counter and finally denied saying it can be provided by room service. Has to go up all the way to the room and collect it. 3. Room service is very slow.

the staff is very friendly and service is amazing

infrastructure is a bit old but it looks like they started to renovate some of the rooms on the bottom floor so hopefully this will continue throughout the entire hotel!

Beautiful hotel a nice restaurant

Very wonderful hotel on an island with boat service 24 hours a day to and from Aswan. The hotel have a lot of nice spots around the island with nice terraces, pools and chill out spots were you can order drinks and food from the bar. You can have nice breakfast and dinner in the restaurant they offer open buffet with a lot of different food both international and egyptian. We loved the staff at the reception, bar and restaurant.

The guest relations manager seemingly tried to pressure us into giving the hotel a 10 out of 10 review. As we had two different bookings with a day out of the city in between, she managed to talk us into rating the hotel 10 out of 10 the first time, but the second time around we insisted that we wanted to make a review ourselves. This behavior does not suit a hotel that prides it self in beeing a five star hotel. Measured up against european standards, this is not a five star hotel.

It was pleasant overall, hope the hotel management will work on the flaws

View of the Nile was beautiful and place was quiet and peaceful, staff was nice

Hotel facilities are very old and need major renovation, WIFI did not reach to the chalet outside the main building, and breakfast was OK but not superb, not what I expected from a 5 stars hotel and paid for

Would not recommend this hotel

Check in process was slow. We had an early flight and checked in by noon. We wanted to sleep but the room was not sound isolated, we could hear the room service voice and they were very loud we couldn't sleep. We asked them to lower the voice but they didn't care. We had to leave the room and go out for lunch until they left the floor!

This is the worst hotel experience I have ever had, just nothing is good

I booked kind bed but they gave me twin bed room There’s no apology at all from the staff and the reception staff showed very arrogant and impatient attitude The room is extremely dirty, not even worth 3 star, there was even rice remained on the table left by last occupant, dust is everywhere, towels are dark and full of stains Sound insulation is extremely poor, I can hear every noise happened in the corridor and outside, 12 am loud music was there, 3 am big group of people arrived with loud noise... The WiFi didn’t work at all Room service food came very late, after one hour, the beef fillet was as hard as a rock

Very Bad Hotel

1- Too late for check-in, I reached 3:0 pm as they mentioned and stayed about 3 hours in reception waiting to prepare my room. 2- Room is very dirty, while I was booking the best room and rate they had. 3- Furneture is very loose and broken, once open anything, it’s fall down. 4- Bathroom is dirty and it’s ceiling and walls are not cleaned at all. 5- Unorganized staff. 6- They have a big problem hosting the groups and they can’t manage. 7- Very slow action and response.

Great location, peaceful, but bad food

You really can't beat the location. The hotel is on an island so views of the Nile on both sides - sunset and sunrise! The ferry boat is free and runs frequently so no problem being on an island at all. Also easy to hire a boat or felluca from the pier at the hotel.

Wifi was off and on and never great when it was on. Hard to control the temperature of water in the shower - other reviews complained they only had cold water, after a minute my problem was really hot water that was hard to control (but better than cold :)) The food is not good at all! Breakfast is free so just make the most of it - only one of the restaurants was open, a buffet of sorts - desserts good, salad good, but the hot items were unpalatable

The transportation during the stay was very nice by motor boat, the view was spectacular the gardens are well maintained, everyone was friendly, the atmosphere and the whole stay was outstanding.

2 star hotel!

-Room View -Breakfast

-that it is rated 5 stars -the ferry/boat is slow -once you arrive on the island, no one helps you with the luggage rightaway -once you arrive there is a small walking distance but they have small motor bikes that can pick you from the marina to the entrance but they are not being used -checkin staff is miserable! They don’t know what they are doing, they don’t have a uniform and then joke around normally, they allow guests to smoke on the checkin counter, they don’t offer assistance they wait for you to ask, lastly, some of them what they are wearing is not even clean. (They have good manners though) -Elevator is too old -Heating/ac in the room is not working and has a loud noise -room is not even clean, dust everywhere -windows and balcony doors are not sealed closed -on Aswan marina, they don’t have a proper representative -all of the above would be acceptable if the hotel was rated as 2 star which they should be.

Disappointing.

Staff were extremely friendly and always willing to help. The views from the hotel are stunning. Very good shower.

This is at most a three to four star hotel. It is in bad need of upgrading. If you need WIFI then stay away. It only works occasionally in the Lobby. The Spa is extremely disappointing. Most things are out of order. The hotel is on an Island which makes it difficult to get to as the boat service is not very regular.
